About
Mead is a fermented beverage made from a wide range of ingredients. The primary ingredient being honey. Often times a variety of grains such as barley and oats were used. Most people have forgotten the word Mead in place of the term honey wine. This label honestly doesn't do this beverage justice due to the array of ingredients and spices that can be used. Historically Mead can be found all over the ancient world. To name a few, Egyptian, Greek, Mesopotamian, German, and Nordic cultures have all produced mead. Making this beverage the oldest, if not one of the oldest, forms of fermented liquors. Which begs the question “why is it not more well known?”. One reason could be the amount of effort to harvest honey yields less than that of growing hops for beer or grapes for wine, which are renowned world wide in modern history but all stem from the same process in ancient times. Ragnarok Meads is subdivision of Ginunngigap LLC.

EVENT PLANNING
1. TASTINGS
We offer standard tasting services all over the central coast, from San Miguel to San Luis Obispo. Minimal fee is based upon number of individuals attending at a rate of $20 per person plus a flat rate of $50.
A. What to expect:
i. A variety of all available flavors.
ii. We provide glasses for tasting.
iii. Products for purchase include, but not limited to: sample boxes, 16oz bottles, and t-shirts.
iv. Assorted snacks. (add any allergies or preferences when contacting us)
2. EVENTS
IF REQUESTED, WE OFFER TASTINGS FOR EVENTS WHICH FOLLOW THE SAME SERVICES AS OUTLINED ABOVE.
